คุณยายสอนให้พูดกับน้อง ๆ ที่มาช่วยงานวัดว่า พวกเราต้องรู้จักพูด พูดกับเขาดี ๆ อย่าไปด่า อย่าไปว่าเขา ค่อย ๆ พูด ค่อย ๆ ตักเตือน เขาจะฟังเรา จะเคารพและเกรงใจเรา จะมาช่วยเราตลอดไป แต่ถ้าเราพูดกับเขาไม่ดี ไปด่าไปว่าเขา เขาก็จะกลัว และไม่กล้ามาช่วยงานอีก งานเราก็เสีย เขาก็ไม่ได้บุญ เพราะฉะนั้น เราต้องพูดดี ๆ ไม่ด่า ไม่ว่าเขา ค่อย ๆ ตักเตือน เขาจะฟังเรา แล้วเขาจะคิดได้ งานเราก็สำเร็จ เขาก็ได้บุญ

182. USE KIND SPEECH
Addressing volunteers at the temple:
Kind words are better than harsh speech. Kind words engender respect and cooperation from the person you are speaking to, rather than fear. If people fear you, they will not want to help you in the future. Then your work will be slow, and since they did not help you they will miss the opportunity to gain merit. Disagreements should be addressed civilly and sensitively and people will be willing to learn from you. Then we will accomplish our work and they will also gain merit.

奶奶教导如何去对待到寺院来当义工的人的时 候，说：“我们要懂得与人沟通的技巧，与人说话 时，不可漫骂或责备他；要慢慢的说，轻轻的提 醒，让他接受和听从我们，对我们怀有敬意和歉
意，就会持续来当义工，来帮助我们。否则，他会
感到害怕，再也不回来帮我们工作；如此一来，寺
院里的工作也就不能完成，他自己也得不到功德
因此，有话好好说，不要漫骂，不要责备他。慢 慢且轻柔的给予劝告或开导，这样他就会心平气和 的接受并听从我们。过后，当他想通了，我们的工 作也可以完成，而他自己也就得到了功德。
